A Wild Trip to Altrincham

Aces_home-1After beating the Blackburn Eagles at the weekend, the Wild are now focussing on this weekend’s game away from home as they head to Altrincham the face the Aces for a 17:30 face off.

This encounter will be the third time the teams have faced each other and each time the Wild have come away knowing they have been in a game. First time out they won 6-4 then a hard fought out battle to draw for a point which left the team in Widnes still in contention with the table toppers.

With the double points added from the weekend, the Wild sit in third on 21 points. They’ve finally caught up with the old table toppers Nottingham Lions. As the Dragons have gone top and are slightly ahead with only two points in it.

The Wild have yet to lose a game since the playing of the Deeside Dragons away from home, only dropping points to the Aces in the previous encounter between the two teams, a 4-4 draw.

This will be the Wild’s last game of 2015 leading into the Christmas break, with the hope of a full squad to take to Altrincham and with as many fans as possible, the Wild can be confident of coming away with the win having only lost once away from home this season.

Although they will be facing an Ace’s side fresh from their weekend break and full of confidence considering they have only lost twice at home this season. However both their defeats come against the sides above them; Deeside and Blackburn.

There is no coach travel for the fixture, if you are wishing to travel to the game please get in contact with the supporters club. Wild supporters are encouraged to come along to the game and get behind their team as Widnes look to get the better of Robyn Crebbin’s Altrincham Aces side.

However if you can’t make the trip to the game, then don’t forget the Wild’s official Twitter account @widneswild will keep you informed with score and play by play updates.
